Electronic Prescription Service
We offer an Electronic Prescription Service, which allows you to choose or "nominate" a pharmacy to get your medicines or appliances from. Please nominate your chosen pharmacy by registering at the pharmacy or filling the form at our reception. Your GP then sends your prescription electronically to the place you nominated. this means:
- If you collect your repeat prescriptions from your GP you will not have to visit your GP practice to pick up your paper prescription, saving time.
- You will have more choice about where to get your medicines from because they can be collected from a pharmacy near to where you live, work or shop.
- You may not have to wait as long as your repeat prescriptions could be prepared before you arrive.
You can also order your prescriptions in person, by post enclosing an s.a.e or through your chosen pharmacy. Prescription requests are not taken over the phone. Please note we need at least two working days to process your request. Remember to request your prescription well in advance during bank holidays.

Medicine Waste Campaign
NHS spends a large part of it's budget on GP prescribed drugs. Sadly there is also a huge amount of wastage in unused or expired medicines. Money wasted on unused medicines can be used to improve many other NHS services. Help support your NHS by reducing this wastage. Order your medicines only in quantities you need. There is no need for patients to stock large quantities of medicines as medicines have an expiry date.
